Remote Learning Day: March 16, 2026

Botetourt County Public Schools has been closely monitoring the potential for severe weather in our area tomorrow. Division staff have been in contact with the National Weather Service and local emergency management officials. Due to the unpredictability of tomorrow’s weather, and to ensure the safety of our students and staff, Botetourt County Public Schools will hold a remote learning day on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Several BCPS schools serve as polling locations and will be used for the upcoming proposed amendment special election on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The School Board approved a revision to the academic calendar to designate this day as a teacher workday.

Imagination Library Celebration ~ April 18, 2026

Courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library event is a celebration of literacy in Botetourt County! More than 1100 children have benefited from this collaborative partnership. Join us at Colonial Elementary School on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 9:00AM - 12:00PM for refreshments, games, reading time, and a presentation of certificates to those children who have 'graduated' from the program!

Vaccination Clinics: Spring 2026
