The Botetourt County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee (BCPS SEAC) is pleased to announce the meetings for the 2019-2020 school year. 

The BCPS SEAC business meetings are scheduled from 6:00-7:30pm on the following dates unless otherwise noted: 

September 24, 2019 (at Cloverdale Elementary) January 28, 2020 (location TBD) March 31, 2020 (at Cloverdale Elementary) June 23, 2020 at 11-1pm (at the School Board Admin Blg) 

In addition, two informational sessions are scheduled from 6:00-7:00pm on the following dates: 

December 3, 2019 April 7, 2020

Locations and topics for the information sessions will be publicized at a later date. 

The Botetourt County Special Education Advisory Committee functions to advise the school division of needs in the education of children with disabilities. In addition, the BCPS SEAC assists in the development of long-range plans, priorities and strategies for meeting the identified needs of children with disabilities. The BCPS SEAC is comprised of parents of students with disabilities, representatives of local agencies, community members and school representatives. 

Special Education Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. Parent and student involvement is encouraged, valued and welcomed.
